Funding Scout
As UX Lead, I guided a cross-functional team through the full-scale redesign of Private Money Goldmine, our proprietary lending platform. The initiative included a rebrand to Funding Scout as well as a complete overhaul of the platform’s technical and design foundation. The goal was to modernize the experience, restore market credibility, and re-engage users in a crowded lending space.

Challenge
The legacy Private Money Goldmine platform was outdated and difficult to use, with a clunky interface and dated brand identity. Users struggled to navigate lending opportunities, and the platform was losing ground to more modern competitors. We needed to deliver a clean, trustworthy, and user-friendly experience that would differentiate Funding Scout and win back engagement.
Solution
I led UX strategy and design for the rebrand and platform redesign, collaborating closely with product and engineering. Key contributions included:
Developing a new brand identity and name that better reflected user trust and market positioning.
Redesigning the end-to-end lending workflow with simplified navigation and clearer calls to action.
Creating a dashboard experience that gave users transparency into opportunities, applications, and statuses.
Building a scalable design system to support rapid iteration and long-term growth.
Impact
Reintroduced the platform as Funding Scout, giving it a refreshed market presence and stronger brand identity.
Improved usability and trust through a cleaner interface and streamlined workflows.
Helped increase user engagement and retention in a competitive lending landscape.
Deliverables
High-fidelity prototypes of the full platform experience (dashboard, lending workflows, account management).
A new design system and brand guidelines covering typography, color, and UI patterns.
User flow maps showing simplified borrowing and lending processes.
Rebrand collateral to support the platform’s repositioning as Funding Scout.
